With the new week we are starting off pretty well. First both the rough electrical and low voltage wiring were signed off. Hopefully the rough mechanical will be signed off tomorrow. The framers have been working on the soffits but today switched to the front entry as the big beam finally arrived. The picture of the fireplace shows some of the mechanical ducting. The scenery shot shows the lake that is now frozen and covered with a layer of snow. One more thing that has to be signed off is the framing after which the insulation and wall board can be started.

There are now only two windows left to install, both are near the entry where the framers will be working next week. The new study window and kitchen window were installed Saturday. The glass doors leading to the front deck and back porch are also now installed so things really are starting to shape up. The fireplace and mantel still need some effort but it is coming along as well. I took some inside pictures to give an idea of how things are looking. Enjoy.

House progress to date has most of the windows installed, plumbing almost finished, and some of the mechanical work underway. Nice having it dry and enclosed. One other photo is of the front door for our house. It has to be returned to the factory to repair one of the jams as a fastener split the top of one jam. We were not planning on installing it right away so shouldn't be a problem
