The roof is finally sheathed, with the exception of the front porch stoop so this should solve 99% of the coverage of the house. The last portion to be covered was Kathy's office area and is shown in one of the pictures. The skylights have been installed in the screened in porch area so the roofers can come in any time and put down the shingles. The last picture is of the skillet handle on a beautiful winter day.

We have had some snow over the Thanksgiving Holidays so progress has been slow. Today the front porch/deck got sheathed. This last Saturday the roofers started shingling the back of the house but with the snow on the roof one couldn't tell. One of the pictures was taken looking down the road so you can see what it looks like in the wintertime. Another picture was taken from the front porch looking toward the lake. It snowed off and on all day.

The front deck/porch is being worked on now so the front portion of the house can be sheathed and covered up. Notice the shingles are stacked up on the peaks waiting for the front area to be completed. Should not be long.

We now have a roof and roofing felt on 95% of the roof so it is relatively rain tight. The remaining portions not covered will be shortly when the front deck/porch has been completed. The views are from the front, back, and posts for the front porch.

The roof is going on and should be done next week and the sheathing for the walls will be worked on next week as well. Weather next week looks wet so things are buttoning up just in time.

Latest photos as of Monday, Nov. 6. The garage roof is covered with tar paper to get it waterproof as the windows are being delivered tomorrow morning. They will finish sheathing the rear wall gable end and cover the window openings so that the windows will not get in the rain and snow. Work is also progessing on getting the rest of the house roofed and weathertite.
Enjoy! Bob & Kathy
